I'M LATE TO THE PARTY I KNOW

Bloody timezones.

Anyway. Sherlock stuff under the cut.

It shouldn't count as a spoiler but I'll put it under the cut anyway. )

Title: Free Parking
Fandom: Sherlock
Pairing: Sherlock/John
Rating: NC-17
Word count: ~3800
Spoilers: none for series two. Or at all, really.
Disclaimer: Not mine, etc.

Summary: John can't remember why he thought playing Monopoly with Sherlock was a good idea.

Notes: A silly little thing for [livejournal.com profile] mandatorily. I first wrote it, gosh, probably more than a year ago for a prompt on the kinkmeme requesting Sherlock and John playing-a-boardgame-and-then-sexytimes, but it's been largely rewritten. The entire second half, in fact. Mandy, I hope things get better soon ♥ ilu.

You mean most games of Monopoly don't end in sex? )

I hang out at [livejournal.com profile] comment_fic quite a bit; it's great fun, you should give it a go.

So mini comment fic dump time.

Title: Stay With Me
Fandom: Sherlock
Pairing: John/Mary, John/Sherlock
Rating: PG-13
Word count: ~11,500
Disclaimer: Not mine, etc.

Summary: He’d hoped for at least some token admission of Sherlock’s regret, some indication that he would miss having John around. An acknowledgement that having John around is better than not having him around. That he and John are more than flatmates, that they’re friends.

Based on the [livejournal.com profile] sherlockbbc_fic prompt: One day John comes home and announces he's moving in with his girlfriend. The night before the big move, Sherlock and John spend the whole night cuddled up together, not talking, thinking how much they're going to miss each other. It's at this moment that Sherlock realises he is completely and helplessly in love.

A/N: Written pre-series two, so no (intentional!) references to the events of it. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] grassle for the beta and suggestions (I listened! Really! There's an epilogue and everything!)

Part 1/2 )

I can't...stop...writing... It's a problem, I have so many other things I need to be doing. Here's a tiny comment fic thing I wrote.

Title: Tabula Rasa
Pairing: Sherlock/John
Rating: PG
Word count: 490
Spoilers: for 2x03
Disclaimer: Not mine, etc.

Summary: For the [livejournal.com profile] comment_fic prompt: John (+/ Sherlock), a blogger is lost without his subject.

A/N: unbeta'd, but it's little so reasonably error-free, I hope. Tabula Rasa is a Latin phrase meaning 'blank slate'. It's an epistemological theory, which is where I picked it up, but that has nothing to do with this. I just like the phrase.

He tries, after, to keep writing. )

I wrote a thing! It's been...a while since I've been able to finish something. I was immensely uninspired all summer, then got distracted by Supernatural fandom and it wasn't til I went back to uni and had a million other things to do that I started itching to write something. Typical.

Title: Don't Leave Me Here Alone
Beta: the wonderful (and very helpful) [livejournal.com profile] kaalee ♥♥
Pairing: Sherlock/John
Rating: PG-13
Word count: ~3200
Spoilers: for 2x03
Disclaimer: Not mine, etc.
Summary: John knows it isn't real. That doesn't mean it doesn't hurt.

Also on AO3

After having not written anything for ages, I was wandering the kink meme a couple of nights ago and wrote a tiny piece. But. It's about Anderson and his angst, guys. Wot. Apparently this is how my brain works. It won't let me write about Sherlock and John and their Epic Love, or make any headway at all on my Mystrade Fanworks Fest story, but it will let me write about Anderson. IDEK.

Imitosis
PG
sort of Donovan/Anderson

For the prompt: For some reason, I have a sudden urge to Anderson h/c or angst. C'mon, he's gotta be more than just a one-sided annoyance purely there for Sherlock to pester - he's got to have his fears and worries and heartaches and insecurities, just like any other person. I'd like to see some of them~

The sound of the door slamming is one he's heard before. )

Ugh. I've been in a completely weird mood for the last seven or eight hours, getting really upset about silly things and being irrationally annoyed at people. How do you feelings? I was so happy this morning!

Also, I've been going through this period of intense self-flagellation over my own writing. It's never really bothered me before; I know my own limitations/flaws very well, but writing fic isn't a huge part of my life, not really. I'm okay with not being excellent, I do this for fun. That doesn't mean I don't look to improve, but I'm usually pretty chilled out about it. But the last couple of days I've been really, really critical of everything and getting really frustrated about it. Which is irritating because suddenly it's not fun any more. I still want to write (turns out I'm more attached to it than I thought) but everytime I try to start something, or keep going with one of my half-dozen unfinished stories, I honestly cannot write more than a few lines without deleting them in disgust.

I did a fic writing exercise a few days ago, to try and get over myself, and these were the results. I honestly have no idea how I feel about them.

This was the meme I did, cobbled together by [livejournal.com profile] antistar_e from a few different ones.

1: Give me a number between 1 and (however many songs are in your iTunes library). Your number determines what song you get.
2. Give me a character or pairing and I will write you a drabble of no more than three paragraphs, based on the song you picked.
3. If the song is horrible, or I can't work with it, you may be asked to choose a different number.

These were (some of) the results. I got a bit carried a way on a couple (this is why I've never been able to write a 221b ficlet!) and went for more than three paragraphs :D Also, turns out it's harder to draw inspiration from a song than I thought it would be. For instance, Dark Matter is a song that often makes me think of Sherlock, but I couldn't really get anything to fit, so I just selected a few of the lyrics and based it on those.

And, my first time writing Doctor Who fic...so, um, yay?

But I wanted to put this picture on its own, since it contains a plot spoiler. I can't really be the judge of how big a spoiler it is, since I haven't a clue of the context, but yeah...

(I don't think it's huuuuuuge, but definitely a plot spoiler)

I'll go away now
